If we have to run the read option....

wouldn't you rather have Russell Shepard running it as opposed to Jordan Jefferson? C'mon. This is a no brainer! Jefferson is not a good runner or good passer for that matter. This coaching staff doesn't have clue. Run I and pro sets with Lee and let Shepard run the read option stuff a la Flynn/Perrilloux. Jefferson can neither run or throw effectively enough to be viable in any set at this point.

we have 3 five stars on the roster who all were option QBs in high school (shep, rueben, ware), yet instead we keep giving it to the guy who has had 18 starts, and has never given anyone any reason whatsoever to think he can run the ball effectively (3 year average = 2.1 yards per carry).
hey, heres an idea, how about we try frickING ANYTHING to make this better. literally, ANYTHING to improve the QB position, as opposed to sticking with the guy who clearly CAN NOT do the job.

Saban certainly has no problem running the option (wildcat) with legit players, but we continue to bang our heads against the walls. Pretty easy to tell who is undefeated the last 2 1/2 years and the one who struggles to win every weeek.

Floridas offense was struggling. Meyer inserts Burton at QB. Burton runs for 6 TDs.
