Will LSU bring in a new QB who can play immediately? Is the Rivers kid good enough? How about a Juco?
Someone tell me we have a shot at a 5* elite QB to play here from day 1. I would gladly take an inexperience QB who can learn than what we have displayed this year and last. Another year of JJ/JL????
Any optimism on landing a super QB?

Mettenberger. He'll be visiting for the Ole Miss game, and the rumor is that we lead. Hes a JUCO QB that was kicked off of Georgias squad before the season. Word is that he was in the lead over Aaron Murrey, Georgias current RS Freshman QB. Mettenberger is tall, and has a cannon of an arm. He was a 4-star QB coming out of H.S., but he was beating out Murrey who was a 5-star.

I want to ask you a question about this kid Mettenberger. How good is he and what kind or how good are his tools, strong arm accuracy and his work Habbits are they what one would look for in a QB that would be your team leader.
I have been in and around this board since it's inception and enjoy reading although I do not post in here to often but I do from time to time and there is a lot of helpful informastion that our Fans can get out of here and can if they like keeping up with recruiting and add to it's information. Unlike some on here I do not think this board is just for the ones who stay in here and only in here everyday it belongs to the Fans and for the Fans.
Now I thank you for anything of substance you can provide about this kid. I feel from what I have heard and seen or read about him he is intresteed but, does he want to come to LSU most of all and will he be that QB that can help us right away? Thanks

I believe Mettenberger could help LSU right away--hope Miles is fair about the competition for that spot. I was wondering if anyone had a link telling us the reasons he had to leave Georgia.

Not looking for vid's just want some truthful information that can help decide whether he is what we are looking for. What type of individual is he and are the rumors correct about him? Are they correctable and was it just a one time thing? Vid's to show but, information that is gathered that is solid and truthful. Have seen a lot of vid's on kid's they are helpful for playing strengths but not on the type individual he is, what kind of work habbits, what type and how strong of a leader and is he Coachable. All to me more important and is more helpful to jn deciding whether he is a better fit for LSU or not.

lolololololollol... yea dude is a stud. i hear bon temps has another qb coming up but apparently there are whispers of performance enhancing drugs being used.

I know that, but it would help to see some info on the kid that is being recruited by the Tigers that is all I am asking. Usually one can come over to the recruiting board and find info out about a certain player but I have as of yet to find any info on this kid.

They need a transfer as they have no FR, Redshirt FR, or SO QB on scholie. Usually JR College is not the answer because there is a reason they are there ( not smart ). That Mett guy is smart, just that he got into trouble.

If he is like Cam Newton at Auburn, then a JC transfer could work, but no freshman will work. (Of course Cam Newton is 6'6" and 250 or so and was at Florida before going to Blinn. I think they should have offered more QB scholarships in the 2010 class, because they knew Z Lee could go baseball instead, etc.
