help me remember the name of a movie

I can't think of this movie, and none of my friends seem to know what I'm talking about

I don't remember all the details, but it was a live, black and white TV movie/special starring George Clooney as a pilot in WW2 on his way to drop an atomic bomb. He was under orders to drop the bomb no matter what, so when he was ordered not to do it, he assumed his commanders were being held hostage and forced to give a fake order, and they even had his kids talk to him on the radio to try to get him not to do it.

I want to say it was on in 1999-2000, cuz i think I remember watching it in my dorm room.

I searched Clooney's IMDB page but didn't see anything that looked like it.
