...and I would like honest answers.

Saban Miles comparison, head to head:

Year 1 goes to Les who clearly had the better team that had been coached by him going on 3 years.

Year 2 - Saban in overtime. It was hard to really say anyone won that game. I am not a fan of the overtime. I think they played to the wire and both teams proved to be equally as good as the other.

Year 3 - Saban again - Miles coached him to the wire. Peterson comes out on one play with cramps (Miles doesn't control cramps) and Julio scores on that play to put Alabama ahead in the 4 quarter. Jefferson goes out after being speared. Peterson intercepts a pass by G-Mac and the officials blow the call. All of these things mentioned out of Miles control.

How is Miles a bad football coach?

LSU fans have actually watched games besides the Bama LSU game. There have been plenty of other circumstances that have given people a reason to reach their conclusion on Miles as a HC.

The Alabama game has probably been Miles best coaching job the last 2 years. We are a QB and OC away from being a top 3-5 type team.

As someone who is hard on Miles, he has not been out coached by Alabama. He's 1-2 with a chance to even the score this year.

We'll see.

I don't think this comparison can be drawn. Yes, we were even in those games, but in the last two years Saban is 16-0 in the SEC while Miles was 8-8. That is why people are upset.

You have an accurate memory. The only thing I would add is on the Julio play there was an obvious block in the back, which allowed him to score, that also was (overlooked) by the officials.
So you're correct....we were screwed.

Miles isn't a bad football coach. He just isn't Saban.

I honestly think Saban is the best college football coach - maybe of all time. He re-built 2 programs and won 2 NCs (in a relatively short amount of time - and at 2 different schools). He turned Mich. State into a respectable program (from garbage).

Does anyone really think Saban won't win another at Bama?

I agree. I think the Ryan Perilloux thing had a much larger impact on this team that people realize. The only thing I may fault Miles for after the RP debacle is that maybe he should have gone after a JUCO QB, but that is hindsight.

I actually admired him for kicking RP off the team because it was the right thing to do. A lot of coaches wouldn't do that today.

If Miles could recruit a QB of quality then Miles and Saban would be 6-6 after 12 years.

Miles is different from Saban (obviously. Players listen to Saban based on fear. Players listen to Miles based on respect. They both recruit unbelievably well and have always had great defenses (take away Mile's '08 and '09 defenses). I would be happy with either coach coaching LSU.

I don't think he will stay that long. He may stay a couple of more years but he looks a little restless to me this year. His press conferences are more subdued. It is like he knows he can do this anywhere he goes so what is the big deal.

I personally thing that he is the kind of guy that can't handle failure and in his mind he failed in the NFL. It would not surprise me to see him go to Dallas.

I do not think he would leave Alabama for another college gig like some people think but I think the Miami thing eats at him.

Just my opinion.

He brings it against Bama. We just want him to bring it against all the other teams as well.

Miles is not a bad coach, he's just not as good as Saban. 99% of the coaches are not as good as Saban.
