If Les were to be fired with the wealth of talent on LSU's depth chart...if the next coach were to come in and win a national championship within the next 3 years, would we hear he won with Les talent??

With that reasoning, $abear won last year's MNC with Boy Shula's players.

Do you actually think someone would wanna admit that haha

See the way I look at it is this, the only guys that were actually coached by Sabam were the Seniors of that year and not much coaching after only one year so believe it or not Miles had somethign to do with coaching those players up and having them win games even tho saban did that recruiting

we're lucky we've been able to keep Miles. The NFL and other colleges must be beating down his door.

SHula actually recruited well. He never gets enough credit for it.

IF Dallas continues to suck I guarantee you that Les Miles will be on the short list.

So will Saban btw, one of them will take it.

Not sure- but he'd better damn well be 51-15 in his first five years with an SEC & BCS title, or we'll rrrrrrrun him outta townnnnn!!!!

Nobody is calling Miles to coach in the NFL.

Now - Saban is another issue. The Cowboys in the billion dollar stadium at 10 million a year on a 50 million package would attract his ego.

Interesting. Could Saban work under an a-hole of the magnitude of Jerry Jones? That would be like "Clash of the Titans". I wonder if Greater DFW is big enough for the two of them....

From an ESPN Blog in Nov/Dec 2009: Our sources tell us that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones does not plan on retaining current Head Coach Wade Phillips after the 2010 season. According to our source Jones has interest in is Les Miles (LSU Head Coach) and Bob Stoops (Oklahoma Head Coach).

On December 3, FootballCoachScoop sources
confirmed that Owner Jerry Jones still hadn't picked up the option for next season on Phillips who is in the final year of a three-year contract. We have confirmed that Jones does have interest in LSU Head Coach Les Miles (November 12). It is expected that Phillips will not be back in Dallas unless they
make it to the Super Bowl.

Obviously Jerry decided to give Wade one more chance but from the looks of things this will be the last year. Just because you and some retards on the Rant don't respect Miles doesn't mean he is not WELL respected in coaching circles.

His former employer, Jerry Jones, KNOWS him well and even after his two most difficult years he was one of Jerry's two FIRST choices.

Good for them both. Let's hope it works out well for everyone concerned.

I'm not quite a les hater.. but recruiting isn't too hard of a job at lsu anymore... Louisiana is stacked with talent and those are pretty much an lsu lock (minus a small minority)

Only in the delusional world of some anti-Miles guys would there be a belief that a coach winning almost 80% of his games and a NC while playing in the best college conference in the world would not be attractive to other college or pro teams.

You can only grin in amusement.

the question is do we have as much talent now as when satan left i say yes,and if true les should be able to win with this talent as he did with the talent that was here when he arrived.

The colleges and pro teams have been beating down the doors trying to lure Miles away from LSU.

This would absolutely be true. The difference would be the new staff would have put an offense together in order to win a NC. I like being 3-0 but we need to be realistic in this. We are starting to act like we've played the toughest schedule in the country to this point. The next 4 weeks are going to be very tough.
