What the hell does Vegas see that makes us an 8 point favorite vs State?

Since I have betrayed my ignorance of such things in the past, what is one more flaw to expose? To some of the more knowledgable people (interpret that as gamblers), just what goes onto determining a point spread? I would imagine that things like where you play, strength of position, and injuries are part of the mix. Having said that, why are we an 8 point favorite? I would give us three for home field. I would give us one for DBs. Am I on the right track.

What say you resident wizards of all those things related to the almighty oblate spheroid?

one on one matchups - plain and simple

as far as the line being too high, how many thought the kine was too high last week on OSU/Miami and OU/FSU? Both covered handily.

LSU SHOULD win and cover. However, Wegas can never factor in turnovers. EVER.
