since you mentioned bladerunner

i saw it the other week and I dont get the hype, i really thought it was a mediocre movie, visually it was cool but beyond that it was slow throughout and never came to a climax

I haven't seen the movie, but read "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep"....i'm gonna check out the movie this weekend.

I watched the Director's Cut a while back and was very underwhelmed by it. I was talking to some people about it recently and they said the Director's Cut is probably the worst one to watch.

hmm, weird, the consensus I've come across is the director's cut is superior to the theatrical release because the TR has narration by harrison ford that gets a little too hand-holding in its explanations of what's happening, or that it's just poorly written, w/ unnecessary details layered over the top (from what I understand the studio made them write narration sequences in post-production, and so the hasty addition of the voiceover wasn't as polished as it could've been).

but the most important difference between the TR and the DC is the ending. I won't spoil it for the OP but there's something more gratifying about the way the DC concludes compared to the TR (imho, of course).
