I tried Star Trek Online when it first came out but thought it was pretty underwhelming. Just wondering if anyone is currently playing it and what they think of it now. Any reason to try it again?

I play it on and off (while waiting for DCUO to start up Nov. 2) and it's not bad. The space fights on my 52" tv with the surround sound turned on feels like being in a movie. The planet-side game is a little dull (none of the planets have animals? wtf?).
They just released a free expansion that adds another 10 levels (and thus a new ship and, I think, new zones).
