I knew the minute Lee completed a pass this board would be over run by rantards calling for JJ's head. JJ had a bad game, I agree with that but to replace him after a bad performance would be completely idiotic. Lee completed one pass...big deal. You dont pull a QB after a bad performance, if next saturday rolls around and Jefferson cant throw it in the ocean then maybe Lee picks up a series or two to show what hes got and only then do you consider making a QB switch.

I think you give Lee the start and give him the confidence to succeed.

Bad game and a half. The offense didn't do anything in the 2nd half vs UNC.

this was the same thing last year when Lee came in and threw some long deep incomplete passes against ull. When he was put in the fire against ALabama(some leeway there) and La tech no excuse there. He looked like the same ole lee. Maybe he improved wont know unless he gets time under center against a d that can pressure him and make him deliver in the pocket.

Why is everything so effing dramatic and final on this board? JJ looked terrible last night. He isn't terrible. Miles should have started lee in the second half but he didn't. If Lee starts Saturday it doesn't mean JJ's career is over. It means we need to find a spark for our offense. If Lee doesn't perform better than JJ then we put Jefferson back in. If Lee does look good then we play him til he screws up. What's wrong with that?

It was a $hitty performance.

That La. Tech game was still worse. Vandy is at least known for being stingy on D in SEC games.

La Tech is awful on D. We did get a passing TD in that game, but it was a five yard pass that Lafell took for 38 yards after faking out and avoiding numerous tacklers.

And we had a few balls against Vandy that were dropped (even if they weren't perfect). Lee was throwing the ball about 30 yards out of bounds against Tech.

Also, JL in 2008 against Tulane might get the nod. He was 8-20 with 66 total yards with everything included. He had 1 TD and 1 pick 6. And Tulane is consistently one of the worst teams in all of football.

But I agree that a performance like Saturday night's gets you pulled (it doesn't have to be permanent). So if JJ starts against State and it's the same look for 3-4 series, then you just put JL in just to see if anything happens. If not, you cycle until something does happen.
