Michael Ford won't even have a total of 10 carries five games into the season. Funny how THAT true freshman can contribute right away. I guess he learned the SC playbook quick enough to play week 1 & 2 but Ford "allegedly" can't after a whole season on campus.

I'm hoping that you were intending to be dramatically hyperbolic.

Chill the Frick out. We have much better talent in front of ford than lattimore had to deal with. It's a good thing dumbass

Lattimore is the starter in a backfield that is not at all crowded. Ford isn't.

Seriously though, take the Louisiana glasses off and you will see he is better

Apparently, they don't have any upperclassmen that can play. At LSU, there are several that can play.

I think he was but people are starting to get ridiculous around with that shite. Every young RB for every damn game they watch on tv does something good and they run to the computer to type this shite.

I believe a hundred percent that If we don't fumble inside the UNC 15 we more than likely score with Ridley or another WR, Ford plays the necxt series along with Lee.

really? I don't even know if he is better period. he went to s. carolina because they had no running backs and he was guaranteed immediate playing time...he'd be on the bench at lsu. at this point in their careers, there is no way to tell who is better, much less declare one twice as good. and to say 100 times is just retarded. I hope it's just early and my sarcasm meter isn't warmed up.

Well in defense of the OP, until any of us actually see Ford play your point is invalid.

Really? SC's running back depth includes:
1. Jarvis Giles, sophomore, 4 star Rivals, #3 ranked all purpose back in the country.
2. Eric Baker, junior, 4 star on Rivals.
3. Kenny Miles, sophomore, 3 star on Rivals, #33 running back in country.

Plenty of talent at RB on SC's squad yet a true freshman is already starting in week two. This would NEVER happen with an offensive skil player under Les Miles.

Yea and now he is playing, and playing at a very high level, while Ford is "learning the play book" on the bench

A lot of people are awesome coming out of high school. Doesn't always translate to college game. I agree Lattimore looks like the real deal. I just don't think you can make that comparison to a guy who hasn't seen the field yet. For all we know Ford may come out and be the next Cecil and be a constant threat to take his talents to the end zone on any given play. Or he may be just another guy. I don't know, and anybody who claims to know is full of shite. It has yet to be determined.

So Ford is only good enough to play in garbage time? That is the difference between other programs and LSU. Freakish offensive skill players start or play early and often around the country but at LSU, you have to wait until 9 games into the season before a freshman can really contribute. Until then, they MAY get a handful of garbage touches.

The OP wants us to be more like South Carolina? Really.

I hope he's better than Cecil, I hope he wins the heisman, but i'm just saying as a recruit and talent wise Lattimore was better. Not saying who will have the better season or career, that's impossible to know

The only real skill positions you argue that about is wide receiver or runningback, and at LSU plenty of young wide receivers get their chance early.

Thing is about college runningbacks, most of the time if you have a good offensive line you could literally put any decent runner back there and he will succeed.
