*will force defenders to account for him, allowing Randle to slip behind the defenders for the amount of yardage equal to that between the LOS and the goal line.

absolutely no reason to havTe him at wide reciever when you already have Randle, Sheppard, and Tolliver. Makes more sense to use him on special teams and defense, if we need him on the offensive side of the ball then we are in trouble

It's not a matter of needing him.. it's a matter of giving DCs something they simply can't prepare for... assuming he's used properly. Not like how we used Trindon and Shepard in the past... if they're going to put No. 7 on offense, it has to happen on rare occasions and he absolutely can't get the ball on every snap.

What a terrible terrible idea.
You really think he's got the gas to start on D, return kicks/ punts, AND play on O? And do these things effectively?

We're not fooling anyone with him in the game. It's not like we're going to waste snaps with him as a decoy.

will come in motion from the slot and take the handoff for a sweep.

Reverse.

And why not take a shot downfield with him.

Just nothing across the middle where he takes a head shot.

I don't think you all really get it.

If you have PP as legitimate offensive threat the oposing team will have to spend additional time preparing for his looks theyby allowing some of the other offensive looks to fall in the cracks. Teams don't spend a lot of time preparing for the third, forth and fifth offensive weapons. Les should give them something to think about all week.

Besides, 4 or 5 offensive touchdowns might add to the Heisman talk. Remeber most of these guys are 18 - 22 yrs of age and do fear the hype around the opposing players.

That is unless you are PP.

Oh I think we get it.... This is a horrible idea. PP playing defense, special teams and offense is too much wear and tear on this kids body. No reason to have him on offense with Toliver, Randle and Sheppard on top of all the other offensive weapons we have just waiting their turn to get in. It only took one cramp from PP against Bama for them to hang 7 points on us when he was out of the game for one play. No way PP plays offense!
