Tootsie's, The Stage, Second Fiddle, Tin Roof......one of those places.

I'd recommend Tootsie's and Robert's over Tin Roof and The Stage, if you're trying to get the authentic experience.

College Crowd at Tin Roof. Is the Beer Cellar up under the Hooters still open?

i totally agree with musiccitytiger
however, if you're looking for the college crowd and lots of smokin hott coeds, go to the stage and/or the tin roof.
thank me later.

i used to think this way also. however, it has changed. if you like music (i'm not particularly a country music fan), this is about 4 hours of some damn good music. i do like bluegrass (good bluegrass, that is) and the stage inn in the gulch is top notch. also, there are a number of "non-country" venues that are superb; the basement on 8th ave; 4th and lyndsey; 12th and porters; the radio cafe in east nashville and the many others. get fridays newspaper (that's right; it's better than the web because of the way it's layed out) and go to the club section. IF you decide to go to several and they aren't within walking distance, i HIGHLY recommend a DD or take a cab. nashville cops do not like DUI. there is also nothing wrong with tootsies, roberts and rips across the street, esp if you like country. hell, even if you don't like it that much (like me), "when in rome.............."

The good thing about living on Vandy's campus is you never really need to leave. We hardly ever go downtown.
