I would love to see it. Nice fantasy.

The reality is that our offensive coaching staff has a hard enough time getting Russell Shepard the football. There is no way we will see it.

Sad state of affairs. Another coaching staff would figure it out, but not this bunch.

Offense is about getting the football in the hands of your best players. This staff makes watching our offense akin to sitting in a dentist chair waiting for the drill.

No need for it. He already has trouble cramping with just playing special teams. Plus talent is not the problem on offense. It's play calling and qb.

PP and RS running the wildcat would be great. But you're right, leave it to this coaching staff to find ways to frick up this offense even with all of the athletes we have. Hell they couldn't even figure out how to use Shepard and Holliday together last year.

Some idiots will argue we need him on defense so we can never play him on offense. The same stupid coaching staff that finally figured out after 3 years that having him on kickoffs would be a good idea....

RS did not play against Florida or Penn State last year. He led the team in TDs the first game of the year. And the wheels keep on turning...

The costs (injuries, fatigue to Peterson) outweigh benefits (marginally better offensive production, considering we don't have a line) in this situation.

But this makes Miles an idiot somehow.

Wrong, offense is about putting more points on the board than your opponent while controlling the clock in fashion that limits the opponents opportunity to do the same.

If some of the rantards had their way, Shepard would be taking all of the snaps and either keeping or handing off to PP every play. How long do you really think it would take a defense to spy on those two players?

I thought the thread in general was stupid, but then I read this post and it kind of kicked the intensity up a notch:

Excellent analysis. Do you have coaching experience outside of Madden 2011?

We have enough trouble spreading the ball around on offense. Let RR, TT, and RS dp their thing and let PP do his. He (and Sheppard) are the leaders of that defense and he needs to be there more than trying out some new gimmicky plays.

We have enough play makers on offense. We need him on D.

How about our coaching staff figure out how to utilize the guys we have before they start adding others to the mix.

In a season with a sealed fate, what is the advantage to risking an injury to next years predicted star offensive player. Did you not see the Miami injury in the game preceeding ours on the same piece of shite field?

Did winning or losing the Bowl game change the outlook for the Tigers this season?
