Doesn't it deflate the excitement of the rest of the season...

to know that we probably already know one of the teams that will play in the national title game?

Does the BCS still have a Strength of Schedule component? I hope it's a good % of the overall ranking.

Avg. SEC team has the possibility to play between 4 and 7 top 25 teams.

Boise state is a long-shot to play 3.

Boise wont be in the title game unless the Big10 or SEC champ has 2 losses.

I think in addition there have to be no undefeated teams. shite, TCU or Utah will jump them if undefeated.

A 2 loss SEC champ is extremely likely

If Ole Miss wins the SEC with one loss, Boise's in.

After Boise beats Oregon St. That will be the highest they go in me and my buddies poles.
Their schedule doesn't give me any reason to rank them any higher after that.
I've never complained that Boise couldn't compete with anybody on a given day. But the fact that they don't have to, is a big draw back for me.
I mean which is harder, LSU playing six top 25 and let's say winning four of them. Or BS playing two and winning two? Who proved more? I'd say LSU or Amy other team in similar circumstances.

Unless this becomes another season like '07 with everybody tripping over themselves on the way to the finish line Boise isn't playing in the title game.

Here's my prediction. Boise will go undefeated. But somewhere along the line they will beat a really crappy team by less than 7 points and the arguments will hit a new level.

Any other year maybe... It's hard to say that when they're rank #3 already

It doesn't matter where Boise is ranked now. The BCS formula is not just polls. The computers will vault numerous teams over Boise.

No different than LSU vaulted over USC thanks to the SEC Championship.

Boise is not a lock even undefeated and with everyone else with 1 loss.

All the nonsense we keep hearing is just that, nonsense by the media that needs to shape a story line for the season and also certain people that want the BCS to fail to force a playoff.

I have a feeling something really fricked up is going to happen at the end of the season causing more controversy than ever before.

The recent controversies have nothing on the ones from the past. As much as the anti-bcs crowd loves to complain, the BCS has done a 10000000% better job than the old system.

Most of you that complain so much about the BCS would shrivel up and die if the BCS dissolved and everyone went back to regional bowls with no 1 vs 2 game.

LSU probably wouldn't have either trophy if not for the BCS forcing the best game instead of the one the media wants.

Hey, i'm for the BCS and believe, for the most part, it has been as close to perfect as ever...not saying its perfect, just compared to the past systems.

I was simply stating my opinion that something outrageous will probably happen to the likes of Boise going undefeated and entering the NC game because of MEDIA persuasion. And, IMO, definitely should not happen simply because the strength of schedule component.
