Just got home from Atlanta..(finally found a cab..some will know what I mean) and cant believe some of the stuff being griped about. I know some things went wrong i.e. fumbles and dropped passes and some vanilla offense but I wonder how many really watched the game and how many just want to complain. Did you see how many freshmen and soph's LSU had on the field and many played very well. Or that Jefferson while throwing a 2 bad balls (int. before the half and the grounding in 4th) played well enough to win. 3 fumbles and 2 long pass plays kept UNC in the game. While watching the replay this morning both Herbie and "Douche" Musberger along with Erin Andrews said the same thing on LSU's first drive in the second half.."UNC is flat" that is exactly what I saw. Had the Tigers scored on that first possession the game was over. But it didn't turn out that way. But all in all the Tigers played OK and UNC took advantage of our miscues and played very well as well. One last thing...KUDOS to the UNC fans they were a class act. Some great folk who were a pleasure to talk to after the game. Now FLAME AWAY.....CRY BABIES!!!

Waited for the shuttle from the Holiday Inn that never came and we were told that the MARTA quit at 12. But it wasn't too bad I had a great time talking to the UNC folk. Like I said they were a class group that pretty well saw the game as I did. One thing I noticed after half time was that a lot of the Carolina faithfull had left the building. I really believe had Ridley not fumbled on that first possession it would have been a route will a lot of younger players gettin on the field.

9 starters missing from that team and our coaching staff couldn't coach against that. Why can't you people get it through your thick skulls that just because we won doesn't mean that something isn't wrong. We should have destroyed that team with all those starters missing but this coaching staff once again found away to make it challenging. Get your fingers out of your ears and stop screaming "la la la la la, i can't hear you, la la la, i can't hear you".... Just because it was a D+ grade and passing doesn't mean it's ok. Same coaching crap from the last 2 seasons.

I wonder how you would have pulled this spin off if they would have called the pass interference that happened on the last play and then UNC punches it in and we lose......riddle me that ........The bottom line is I didn't see anything on offense much different from last year (outside of the OL playing a LITTLE better) that gives me any reason to believe that we will do better this year unless something else changes. No changes were made all year last year which leads me to believe that the same will hold true throughout this year.

I agree 100%. I returned home yesterday (10 hour drive) in time to go to a sis-in-law B/D party. But I made it home in time to watch the second half replay.

[BTW, we lucked out a got 10 people in a cab no too long after the game.]

What I saw at the game, I saw on the tube -- we had a lot of speed, we played a whole lot of young guys (many times 3 freshmen on defense), and we showed have blown out the game. I'm very disappointed in the fumbles -- that's what kept them in the game and our defense on the field. I'm really hoping to see Ford in the game next week -- I'd start him to demonstrate that you don't play if you don't hang on to the ball.

I also wish we could stretch the field -- same story left over from last year.

Lastly, as Scooter Hobbs pointed out this AM in his editorial in LC, Davis lamented about burning 8 redshirts during the game. He doesn't realize that LSU played 9 true freshmen that night.

Because I watched the game!! Listen, I have been as down on Jefferson and Crowton as anyone the last couple of years and I think our offense was 80% of the time very basic but did you see how many young kids we had on the field? On the 97 yard pass Mathieu, Reid, Mingo, Montgomery, Simon and many other first time starting players. They made some mistakes granted, but to get down on the whole team is wrong. Did I complain when Miles started playing Big Ten football in the middle of the 3rd quarter, absolutely, but I recognize the youth of this team and that Jefferson has gotten better. I also believe that Cowherd was right this morning when he said that many good teams looked bad because of youth but had explosiveness and LSU does. Lets wait until the 3rd game of the season and then see if we have gotten better.

This team does have talent and explosiveness....but the coaching staff will negate that edge.

If you say you watched this game that is great. Did you watch any games last year? What we saw was the same offense with the same on field leader with very little change from an offense that finished ranked in the triple digits last year. Our offense truly accounted for 1 touchdown yesterday and if it weren't for the great field position afforded us by special teams a case could be made that we wouldn't have scored at all on offense......bottom line is what I saw Saturday was a case of same ole same ole on offense and it was fairly sickening.
