BCS Conference vs AQ

I've seen a lot of talk debating these two terms in the last few weeks...since I wasn't sure myself, here is the definitive definition. All 11 FBS conferences are BCS conferences. This is per the BCS website...

this AQ bullshite only came about within the past 2 years
the BCS was a group of conferences who joined together to have a title game and other major bowls (with their associated champions participating)
when they changed the rules to make it easier for non-BCS schools to get into the BCS bowls, NOBODY used the term "automatic qualifying"

According to that site, the BCS is not an entity, but an event, managed by all 11 conferences. I don't understand your objection to the terms. Both are perfect descriptions.
