Random Thoughts from a lifelong Tiger Fan...

*After last night, I have no confidence is this team winning 7 or more games.
*Patrick Peterson is one of the best players to wear purple and gold.
*It is not fun watching LSU football. It has become a gut-wrenching and frustrating experience.
*We are in serious trouble with our Quarterback and Offensive Line positions.
*If LSU loses to Vanderbilt, you will have at least 10,000 no shows (maybe more) for the Mississippi State game and the beginning of the end of the Les Miles era (unless it already has begun)
*I feel bad for Les Miles because he seems like a real nice guy with strong family values but his support from the fans is eroding quickly. His players are not developing and play undisciplined.
*The only thing that is sustaining my support for LSU at this time is the history and tradition of the program. The quality of the product on the field is uninspiring.
*With all the negativity surrounding Les Miles, the media perception, and fan disappointment, it's truly amazing how Les can still recruit as well as he does.
*I'm not looking forward to the rest of the season but I'm hoping for the best.

Can all you negative guys appoint one representative to speak for all of y'all so I don't have to read the "insight" and doomsday predictions of hundreds of individual sad-sacks?
I think that finding a strong leader within your numbers would be an outstanding way to show the players how its done.

the game looked very much like the Washington game last year...a couple of basic things gets corrected and the team will be much better. I think 9-3 is probable

i wish we had a LSU football talk board, and an LSU the sky is falling board so all these guys can sit around and circle jerk to the thought of LSU losing 10 games and Miles getting canned.

Fair enough...the last thing I needed to do after last night was come on this board and vent my frustrations. I need to let it go.
Just curious "yurintroubl"...was last night's game fun for you?

I DO NOT feel sorry for a guy that gets $4 million a year for being inept.
He can Go F--k himself.

honestly, lsu games have become hard to watch. call me a negatiger but it's the truth.

I was not completely impressed but JJ played better than last year, the line looked not quite as bad as last year, but still needs improvement, and we had flashes of good play. On the other hand, our pass defense looked poor.
But, Ridley fumbled at least twice, JJ took us out of field goal range with a dumb grounding move, and at times our defensive line got owned.
I think this game was a good example of how a lot of games come down to a few plays, good and bad, that change the outcome. The holding call on our touchdown, the breakdown on the 97 yard touchdown for them, the field goal hitting the upright. A few plays going the other way would have resulted in a blowout. Don't give up yet.

Not giving up. Just my expectations are very low.
Just my feelings based on last night (admittedly emotional), are the only SURE wins for LSU are UL-Monroe and McNeese State. DEFINATE losses are Alabama and Florida. PROBABLE losses are Auburn and Arkansas (road games). Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Tennessee are "PICK_EM".
But, I'm hoping for the best. Just not very confident.

Looking at it in the overall context, just what the hell makes you so positive? I've badmouthed the negatigers as much as anybody BEFORE the season started but what I watched last night at the Georgia Dome told me nothing has changed from last year. In fact, our vaunted defense looks worse, I mean, giving up 400+ yards of passing? Give me something really positive to take away from this performance against a depleted ACC team and I'll try to stay positive.

Tee Mike made valid points and the "THOUGHT POLICE" are here to attack him for dissenting against Pathetic Coaching..

No. I had to watch it while I was working.
Also, to be perfectly honest, I found myself immediately cringing thinking about the reign of vehemence that the Rant would undoubtedly be because people would erase 3 1/4 Quarters of a team showing signs of improvement. Mostly thanks to
-- ball security issues on 2 sustained "ground n' pound" clock-eating drives.
-- a horrible no-call on the onsides kick which would've allowed us to run out the clock with ease.
The second the clock hit 0:00 - I immediately thought of how so many "fans" are stuck in negative overdrive that they probably associated this game with Ole Miss, Mississippi St., the last few Arky games, Bama OT, etc... I just KNEW that the entire rest of the game was going to get ignored.
THAT is why it wasn't fun for me.
As a matter of fact - I'm going to remove myself from this toxic environment for a bit and log off.
I understand venting... So sorry to be so snarky before. When I need to vent - I usually drive out to an unpopulated area and yell at my steering wheel with the music cranked up.... Also I tend to throw socks at the wall as hard as I can, etc...

Was just telling my dad last night- Best DB since Tommy Casanova.

*We are in serious trouble with our Quarterback and Offensive Line positions.
I think these two go hand in hand- we simply struggle on offense, yet we have too many weapons to be in that position. Maybe we have to accept that we simply have a poor OL & our QB situation is critical...we need help.

I don't know how he does it, but you figure at some point it will catch up with him if we don't start winning & winning big.
Overall teeMike, a good assessment...

if you are speaking about the player getting hit before he had the opportunity to field the ball once the ball hits the ground on a kick any player can be hit, they do not have to be given the chance to field the ball...its only when the ball is still in the air they have to be given the chance to make the catch...
