You shoul take it as a hint that they are red-shirting him. No reason to waste a year with Balmer there

James, Barner and Alston are all ahead of him. Quite simply put, they don't need him this year. They have three backs that are incredibly fast and shifty. Alston graduates this year and should NFL teams like what they see from James, he could leave too. That would open things up for Seastrunk to get some carries. Not saying he won't see the field this year but I wouldn't play him if I could save a year.

LS and Dontae Williams are both likely to redshirt at this point, barring a significant injury to Remene Alston - in which case Dontae probably gets some time.

The Oregon staff is very happy with the options that LMJ, Barner, Alston, and converted "slash" type Darryl Hawkins provide the offense for the time being.

But if Lache is patient, he'll have his chance soon enough - and he'll be ridiculous with the kind of space CK will get him.
