Caught a few dozen today. Got them on ice with the plug pulled. Will they still be good if I wait until Saturday night to boil them?

TIA

yes, fish and houseguests 3 days ok. After that both are rotten.

I actually think you could push it much longer. Think about how long those longliner boats are out and they come back with everything on ice, and then it gets shipped around for another couple of days.

Yea, me and a buddy went today with the intention of catching each 2 or 3 dozen. We ended up with 11 in about 4 hours and were Very selective. Sometimes 5 or 6 per net. Late aug/sept is the best time for point au chein crabs

Do not let the ice melt and pool up,jus keep ice on them and water drained and youll be good. I kept some in the fridge for 2 days and when came time to boil they woke up in a pissy mood lol.

Crabs will usually keep 3-4 days max. Sometimes less than that.

If you boil a dead crab, it will be mushy and taste funny/bad just like dead crawfish.
