I heard on BayouShooter that New Iberia Acadian Outfitters got a pallet or some shite of like 100 Mosin Nagant 91/30s and is selling them for $85 couldn't tell if that was with or without tax, but its tax free weekend anyway.

I've been wanting to get one of these forever (no collection is complete without one) just because of what it is but never found one for the right price. Even if you order off the internet its still gonna cost $20 to ship and another $20 FFL fee, so i never got around to it. but now I think Im gonna buy 3 of them and give them out as gifts.

btw, i dont work for or am related to anyone over there. just sharing a good deal (pending their quailty)

for all that don't know what one is:

it shoots 7.62x54R (dirt cheap ammo, falls somewhere between .308 and .30-06) the fireball and report from this gun is legendary

All of the above is true. If you can get one with the sling and accessories, do it. The bayonet is fun. Try to get one with a shiny bore if you can.

I have seen mosin nagants with a sniper scope (much like the one used on Enemy at the Gates) setup for around $250.00. Mosin Nagants are so cheap because Russia they are largely stamped and Russia produced millions of them during WW2. You can still find them packed in cosmoline that have never been fired.

i dont know about all this stamped business, the mag box is stamped but the receiver and everything else is not. anyway they are so cheap because there are tons and tons of them around and available, as stated before, many in unissued condition.

do not confuse these with the M91/30 snipers, as someone on here already has. those usually sell for $800+. the $300 ones you see are not actual snipers, but non-snipers with turned down bolts and PU clone scopes.

eta: LINK about 2/3s down they mention it

Damn, I'd love to pick one one of those up. May have to make a trip in on my way back from Shreveport. It's on my wishlist; a little ways down, but may have to grab one at that price.

Good gun to start a collection around. Still cheap to buy and plenty of ammo options on the market.

Its better to look in person before you buy if you are looking for collectable pieces. Some are more collectable than other...but you atleast want an all numbers matching gun.

They are actually pretty dang accurate, but its not a gun you will want to shoot a whole lot. They kick like a mule and the M44 kicks even harder

I just called and they're sold out. They're also taking names for future orders.

The guy said that he'd try to order more next week. Didn't have an ETA, though. I put my name on a waiting list for two. :)

Greedy, save some for the rest of us.

I really need to add this to my collection. I may go check some local shops and see if they have any.

Is there something that I'm missing here? That gun does not appeal to me at all.

Historic weapon that can be purchased for around $85. Cheap ammo, reliable, accurate.

Used by Russia and pretty much all of Asia, predecessor to the SKS and AK47.

Big bump, but I just got a Cabela's flyer that showed that they have Mosin Nagants for $99. I also got a coupon for $30 off purchase more than $100. If I can get one for $70 this evening I'm gonna buy one.
