Other than Hooters, a random mexican restaurant, and Steak and Ale, you won't find much around the Georgia Dome. Pack a lunch/dinner.

There's a Ninfa's on International in Peachtree Center (about 6 blocks from Centennial Park). There are also lots of restaurants in the area of Peachtree Center including a food court open during the day.

I like Bones and Buckhead Diner, but I'm just a tourista. Neither one is close to the Dome.

Dunce alert.

Dantannas
McCormick and Schmicks
Ruths Chris
Teds
Legal Seafoods
etc.

and some of the hotels have good restaurants in them. It's not the best, but not as dismal as portrayed.

Papadeaux's. I have a true cajun friend of mine meeting me in ATL and he swears by this place for good cajun food.

All good, Ted's is the most economical, great rustic atmosphere and Ted Turner keeps his apt. upstairs of the Luckie St. location. If he's in town he is frequently seen there. The GM is a La. native who attended LSU.

I'll add Pittypat's Porch on Andrew Young across from the Westin. MUCH better than most hotel food and unlike the others listed. Like Ted's, comfort food but in a kicked up Old South style and the setting is all Gone With the Wind motif...done well, not hokey. Priced about like Dantanna's, cheaper than Legal, M&S and Ruth's. They have a special gameday menu and drink specials. Show your game ticket to get a free appetizer with purchase.

Both of the above are supporters of the LSU Atlanta alumni group and deserve your support.
