Just asking cause if James Wright is the 4th wr,what has boone and williams been doing. Cuase personally I thought boone was a more polished wr than wright.

Has it ever occurred to you that your perceptions of the players going in may not be accurate compared to their performance once they get on campus?

Everybody thought Boone was better. Wright has performed better and earned the spot.

Of course, nothing is stopping Boone from improving and taking the spot from Wright.

Wright was a 4* like Boone, although not as high in the position rankings, so I'd assume it's 2 fairly even guys going at it with Wright coming out ahead.

Williams is a great athlete, but a project at WR. He'll need some time before he's ready to contribute.

I am glad to see wright prefroming well in practice, cause it should reassure the staff that we have the talent in louisiana and they don't have stress there self out to get a player OOS. but I do like seeing his(boone) highlights. Hope both of them help thru the season though.

James Wright simply made more big plays in the preseason.

Boone was a top 130 WR...

But Wright was incredibly underrated in rankings. He didn't get a lot of exposure because he didn't attend camps. He still had several major offers and Bama went after him pretty hard...

I said that in his recruiting process, I didn't understand why he was ranked so low. He was definitely the most polished WR coming in too, so I think you had that backwards...

Boone also had a ACL tear his Junior year. Maybe they feel that is extra incentive to just let him sit for a year. ACL takes a long time to heal, regardless if you can come back in 6 months to play.

Williams is raw. I saw him play a few times and hes definitely a underrated athlete as well. He will need a couple years to develop here but don't be surprised to see him turn out as the best WR in this class when the light comes on.

The only thing negative I can say about Wright is I don't think he has a huge ceiling. But as of now, I felt he was the best WR coming in with our class...

Wright plays extremely physical for a freshmen WR. The coaches love this about his game.

because he didn't win the starting job as a true freshman he's obviously a bust or miles couldn't develop him. best to cut ties with him now IMO.

Probably will be moved to DB. I never thought he'd stay at WR personally. LSU originally recruited him at DB and he didn't want that. So, they changed their tune and recruited him to WR. They gave him his chance but unless he is blowing it up(which I doubt), they will pull him to the side and say your best chance at early PT right now is DB.

They'll keep their promise but move him to DB next year.

I would clarify that you're talking about Fobbs not Boone

What do you mean? Boone is the one with the ACL tear. Wright was always the more polished, physical WR coming in with little exposure, IMO. Boone's film mostly consists of him torching the secondary or making one move. Wright takes a lot of passes over the middle and breaks tackles for huge gains. He is obviously more physical and that makes him more ready for the SEC. Its not a coincidence hes getting the nod.

Boone dances too much. I'm just going to throw a guess out there but the coaches are probably telling him to turn up field more and stop dancing. That is something hes going to have to learn. Wright catches balls and immediately moves up the field, even if he has to run over someone...its obvious why hes more polished at this point.

Fobbs is just a pure athlete with versatility.
