So when the WAC falls apart, does La Tech rejoin the Sun Belt?

If UTEP jumped from CUSA to MWC (travel partner for New Mexico and TCU), LA Tech could conceivably get an invite to CUSA. Should be interesting.

I could see Conference USA inviting Middle Tennessee State before La Tech. I think the Sun Belt is going to try to get New Mexico State and Texas State or UT-San Antonio

Oh here we go, the UL-X tards are spewin' crap. The Sun Belt would BE so lucky to have LaTech in it. You bastards can't even manage a winning season in FBS, and no one cares about your games, especially in Monroe, which is why you all have to grab onto LSU's coattails to feel relevant. You don't want us to have to stoop to your conference, because we'll win the damn thing every year until another spot opens up.

Eventually ULM will go back down a division so there will be spots open. I think NMSU and Texas State will be offered a spot. UT-SA may be a good option.

I heard on ESPN 97.7 that the Sun belt Presidents were being polled if they should give La Tech and New Mexico St an invite.
I don't think there is a chance we go back to the Sunbelt even though it is a improved league than when we left it.
I think we hold on. Any Sunbelt invite would come no doubt with some buyout clause which would hold us down if an invite came along.
Needless to say with more major Conference changes coming it would be stupid to chain ourselves down.
At this point unless there is a Conf USA invite I say Tech stay in the WAC and wait it out.

The WAC is going to be destroyed, it's going to be a terrible league and Tech will be traveling such long distances for a league that will be worse than the Sun Belt.

I just read an article that said they are going to attempt to rebuild the WAC with more schools. My only question is it too late for Louisiana Tech? They would owe 5 million to leave and is there a conference out there that would be worth paying it up that would want them?
