I'm trying to come up with a solid format for my first few picks. This is my first year to play fantasy. I've been leaning RB/QB/WR/RB/WR.

Also, which position should you target first for your bench, I've seen some say the draft is deeper at WR, so take RB. What say you?

You can't go into a draft with a concrete plan. You have adapt your draft strategy as other people draft. Also, drafting a QB in the second round is not very smart. Wait until 2-4 rounds later.

It just depends on your scoring. Is it PPR and do QB's get 6 per td or 4?

while I agree, it's not the worst strat in the world

think about it....list the teams that made the playoffs in you league last year....what % had Brees,Manning,Rogers.....now compare to the bottom 3 teams....who were their QB's?

funny peculiar?

PS: I never draft a top QB, but I always have one at the end of the year. The lack of top RB/WR usually allows a trade to be made by a down on his luck team with an elite QB

Agreed. But if he isn't going to take one in the first round, he's prolly not going to be able to get a top flight QB. If thats the case, I would wait until later in the draft for a QB.

go double elite WR....ppr allows for RBBC to make up points on 3rd down backs.

Plus over the course of the season, you can grab back-ups of injured/un-productive RB's.....you don't often see someone grabbing the back-up to an injured elite WR/QB

If a top 5 QB wasnt availiable then I would wait but I think I may be able to snag one.

It just depends who is there. If someone like Gore or Rice slip, take them. Also I think Michael Turner is going to have a big season. He doesn't catch alot of passes but he might be too good to pass up. If they aren't there I'd take Andre Johnson. You can get a back that will put up similar numbers to Jackson/Mendenhall with your 2nd pick.

Yeah, I fully expect to take Turner or Gore, but then what, if no top 5 QB availiable then...Turner/WR/RB/WR/WR/QB. I will be flexible and if someone falls to me I wont hesitate, but assuming it goes without suprises, I wanted to have some sort of format to try and go by.

Best player available, maybe a guy like Fitz or Reggie Wayne.

I'm just hoping I can somehow get Turner, Gore, or Jackson. Then WR if not top 5 QB. Ok how about this what would be your ideal draft order, I understand having a player drop to you. Just trying to have some sort of a format. Are you guys saying you'd go RB/WR/BRA/BRA/BPA/BPA....

If you get 6 points for passing Tds, I would go with one of the top 3 qbs first round

somehow?

1 CJ
2 AP
3 MJD
4 RR
5 FG
6 SJax
7 Turner

it's guaranteed you'll get one.

Ok. I get that. Is it impossible to have a format to go by, keeping in mind players falling to you. This is what I'm thinking as a format: RB/WR/RB/WR/WR/QB/TE/RB/WR/RB/WR/K/DEF/QB/RB/WR
