I'd personally mount the duck and leave it on.

Could either mount the banded duck or put it on a duck you already got mounted.

Mine are on my lanyard. My duck guiding buddy has them all the way around his lanyard. I only have four.

I wish I would have given this more serious consideration at the time.

I shot the bird on the last weekend of last season. It was a beautiful pintail. The breast was busted up pretty good so I just went ahead and cleaned it the best I could.

Don't think it would have mounted well but I wish I would have saved it and checked with a taxidermist anyway.

Just wait till you get another nice pintail drake, mount him and add the band to his leg.

This

I shot a banded Wood Duck and sent the info in. At the time I thought these ducks were local and didn't migrate.

Got a certificate from the Wildlife people. The Duck was banded in Madison, Wisconsin.

A buddy of mine is a real big duck hunter and his wedding band is either a ring that looks like a band or is an actual duck band. I'm not sure, but I thought it was cool.

Got one from Fla, another from Canada and a third from Tenn. I could claim the 20 or so that I band on my place each year.
