Band sits on the side closest to the PMAC right smack in the middle. The home team fans sit all over the place EXCEPT the corner, and I'm sure someone knows the compass direction.

West side is home side. East side is away side. Band/student section on north endzone. Away fans in southeast endzone corner.

Don't sit anywhere but the student section. Seriously, the stands are filled with old douchebags that refuse to stand up and cheer, and look down on the people that threaten the ref's lives.

My dad has connections with a season ticket holder who lives in Arizona and only goes to the big games. In 2006, we were sitting probably 20 rows up on the 50 yard line. Ole Miss game. When J-Marcus threw that TD to win it for us in OT it was nuts down there. I turned around and was high fiving and screaming along with this little kid and his dad that I didn't know. Thats definitely the wildest I've seen that section. Theres this old couple that has been in the seats beside us EVERYTIME we've sat there and they don't make noise, they stand shortly and clap when we score and they usually leave early.

I've been going to games my whole life and I've also been a student at LSU for 3 years, so I've sat in a variety of places. I've been to every home game since I've been a student and yeah there is nothing like the student section.

However, there really isn't a bad seat in Tiger Stadium. It's still Tiger Stadium, it's still loud no matter what. No matter where you sit, you'll get the full experience.

Even the upper decks are fine.

I would avoid sitting near the away fans' section (southeast corner) depending on the team we're playing against. Bama fans somehow managed to infiltrate the student section for the 08 game and were ultimate douches. Especially Julio's family. I can't imagine a whole section of those people.

But yeah I hope you get a chance to go and hope you enjoy wherever you end up sitting

I went once and yelled that the ref was getting paid and the woman in front of me told me that I was turning him against the home team. Me, 30+ rows up, pissing off the Ref when the most hostile student section in the country is just berating the hell out of him.

there are some bitches in the pricy seats. At the Tech game last year towards the later part of the game I believe we were about to score, some guy was standing up and an older guy behind him starting yelling and cussing at him to sit down.

Thats why I always say God Bless the Student Section. As long as you know to avoid the cups after a great play, its the best place on earth.

An old couple got pissy at us for yelling, "Kick their arse," instead of LSU. "There's not cussing here son." My reply, "I didn't 'cuss' I said arse." It just made me yell louder the rest of the game and they ended up leaving.

Wow man I really hope you get the opportunity to get go. Just check out the Ticket Exchange board here on Tigerdroppings and maybe you can find a deal on a ticket.

I can tell you that the Alabama game this year is going to be a great one. If the Tigers can pull it off, it'll be one of those Saturday nights in Tiger Stadium that we talk about for years. And you'll be able to say you were there

Hope it works out for you
