Wide Receivers
Posted by Trojan15 on 8/7/10 at 8:54 pm00
Is it just me or does it seem like there are not a lot of sure fire receivers this year. The top ones go fast and the others have a lot of question marks.

you ain't alone, but honestly talent at WR/RB/QB all seem sketchy to me this year
Just found out I got 5th pick in the draft, and I am targeting AJohnson(PPR)
Yahoo projected for my league has these as the top WR's
Larry Fitzgerald(Ari - WR)
DeSean Jackson(Phi - WR)
Wes Welker(NE - WR)
Andre Johnson(Hou - WR)
Roddy White(Atl - WR)
Reggie Wayne(Ind - WR)
Miles Austin(Dal - WR)
Brandon Marshall(Mia - WR)
Marques Colston(NO - WR)
Randy Moss(NE - WR)
I am going to try and grab 3 of these and then take chances with portis/best/bush/harrison/etc/etc while hawking the Waiver wire for injuries.
seems that when a RB1 goes down the back-up does fairly decently, but when a WR1 does down the back-up plays just like a back-up......so I figure that I should draft unique guys who can't be backed-up/picked-up if lost....not sure if this makes sense.

these guys + brandon marshall all have new qb's. Welker is coming off a pretty serious injury. Steve Smith at Caronlina new qb also. In every online draft so far, the big name guys go fast

I think I'm going to do the same, at least in one draft. The top 10 WR's have been pretty consistent the past couple of years. I think the RB's will be a dime a dozen. There's a lot of potential this year, and break outs looming from McCoy, Best, Spiller, Matthews, Moreno, etc.

desean and kolb were on time last year when mcnabb was out. desean had over 250+ rec yards in 2 games.
