Jacob Hester 7 on 7 Tournament this weekend
Posted by tjc9487 on 7/15/10 at 3:59 pm00
Does anyone know if there will be any higher profile recruits at this event? I will be working it tomorrow for the first half of the day and I was wondering if there was anyone I could get a look at. Thanks!

I don't know who will be there, but I expect a detailed report from you on what you saw on this board in the afternoon.

Yes sir!

I found this in the Shreveport Times. Anyone know if there is anyone worth a shite from any of these?

Class 5A Zachary, Class 4A Bastrop, Class 3A Bolton, Class A St. Fredericks and MPSA schools Riverdale and Glenbrook will also compete along with three Texas teams (Belton, Waskom and Haltom) and El Dorado from Arkansas.

BASTROP — Headed by defending national champion Alabama, Jevante Watson is attracting an impressive list of suitors.
Watson, who plans to be on the Tuscaloosa campus for camp this weekend, also has offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Arkansas, Tennessee and Missouri, among others.
When asked if he was leaning toward a particular school following Monday’s workout at Bastrop High, Watson replied, “Not just yet.”
Watson has played cornerback, safety, wide receiver and running back during his prep career. Most schools are courting the 6-0, 180-pounder as a defensive back.
A 2.7 student with a 23 ACT score, Watson is academically qualified.
In his first season as a defensive starter, Watson recorded 39 tackles with one pick for the Rams in 2009. Offensively, Watson rushed for 177 yards on 25 carries and caught 14 passes for 240 stripes, while scoring a team-high 10 touchdowns (7 rushing, 2 receiving, 1 fumble return).
Watson was moved from cornerback to safety during spring practice.
He is listed as a three-star recruit by rivals.com.
7 on 7: While Watson is headed to Alabama, his BHS teammates will compete in the Jacob Hester/Landers Dodge National 7 on 7 Tournament Thursday-Saturday in Shreveport.
While the complete schedule had yet to be finalized as of Thursday night, the Rams will be paired against LaGrange, St. Frederick and the Texas trio of Waskom, Haltom and Belton in pool play.

this is a joke. there is less than a 5% chance that watson will be at bama. they won't take him just as they were never going to take the rayville guys. just playing games with the north la. coaches so once these schools have a top notch prospect they will be in the door.

I just got this info passed on from one of my sources.
Dak Prescott has led his Haughton team to a 8-0 record in pool play at the Jacob Hester 7-7 tournament in shreveport, La. including a 38-31 win over a Belton, Texas team led by future Texas Longhorn QB David Ash. Prescott getting sharper as summer goes on.
Looks like Prescott is going to get that SEC offer he is looking for either from LSU or Mississippi State over the next week.
