If Les would have went to Michigan. Rich may have came to Baton Rouge. I think Miles is a better coach. What do you think?

Rich all the way in the SEC. he's a winner that has struggled to get the Michigan types on board with his plan. He is a bad fit up there.

Miles in a heartbeat. Better recruiter and much better character. Coaching skills is a wash.

I am no Miles fan, but would not want richrod here if Miles left or was canned. I would prefer LSU go after a defensive minded coach that likes to attack, blitz, and disguise coverages.

If LSU had to go after an offensive guy, I would want Mullen. I know he's only been at State one year, but I think he has what it takes to be a big time coach.

Miles is a better all-around coach. Rich has the edge in offensive scheming but comes in second in every other category, not the least of which is character.

So they don't mean anything?????? Saban had the character of a jack-arse, And recrutied well but coaching those recruits is what wins for ya. The last two years LSU has been a passive team. Just like the coach.

Miles for sure, but its not saying much. Rich's gameplan at WV consited of tripple options every play. They out athleted teams and that was it. Miles is the same way in the sense that we rely on talent, but I still feel like he is much better.

Rich Rod easy.

The guy is a brilliant offensive coach who took 2 and 3 star players at WVU and made them very competitive. Including a 31-0 start over a very good UGA team in the Sugar Bowl a few years back.

I also love those who say he has character issues. He has character issues because he left WVU for Michigan, and because some older UM players who didn't fit his system got pissed at him. Wow, what a piece of shite.

I can't tell you exactly why, but I find myself rooting for RichRod to fail at Michigan.

But something in my gut tells me Michigan will have a good year this year and RichRod will get himself off the hot seat and they will become a force the next couple years.

To answer the original question, i think RichRod is a better hands on coach (Xs and Os, fundamentals), but Miles is a better program CEO.

Has anyone ever considered this ... RichRod as OC at LSU under Miles if he were to get fired from Michigan? Too big a drop? Surely he could land a mid-major HC gig, but ya never know.

Miles is almost as good as it can get in recruiting but Rich Rod is a much better coach especially a gameday coach.

1st of all, all coaches are cocky, arrogant, weasel bastards who do some shady shite. especially in the s.e.c. it rivals columbian politics. r rod has always been a winner. he didnt evaluate the lack of talent to run his system at michigan (his fault). he wanted the bama job. it will take him another 5 years of recruiting to get those athletes in there. he doesnt have that much time. he was the reason tulane and clemson reached the levels they did. cost tommy bowden his job once he left.
