I just got back a week or so ago. I posted a play by play of my trip (just search for it if you care).
Your list looks great but I would suggest Cliff Lede and Darioush. Really enjoyed both of these.
Also I would suggest La Toque for a really nice dinner. And Gott's for a burger and milk shake

Tours/Tastings:
Those are some great wineries to tour and taste. I hope you don't get carsick easy, because the trip up and down the mountain to/from Pride is really a winding road!
I've been lucky enough to make several trips to Napa and I'll be there again Sunday. I found that I get tired of the tours/tastings. You can only see so many barrels! My advice is don't try and do too many tours a day. Try and schedule a tour/tasting in the morning and maybe picnic on the grounds if they allow it. Then another one after lunch. If you can afford it, get a limo or van with driver to take you around. They know where they are going and you don't have to worry about "overtasting"!

I'll be at Bottega Monday night!

Thanks, folks.
Kim Jong:
That's exactly what we're doing re: limo. And, I think only a couple of the stops are actual winery tours. Others are picnics, garden tours, tastings (and some other private crap).
Is it obvious that Ms. Panny Crickets is in charge? Ha.
I'm pumped. Thanks for the burger/shakes recs--will be sure to report back!

Good plan. 2 tours a day is plenty IMO. Like I said, after a while I get really bored with the tour part and just want to taste! Sounds like your wife has done a good job.

Gotts in St. Helena (formerly Taylor's Refresher) is a must for lunch one day.
Have a great time. I'll be listening for crickets while I'm there!

Get some real estate advice from Dave Del Dotto with your vino?
Wonder when Carleton Sheets and Don Lapre are gonna buy a vineyard?

I went for 2 days in April and did 15 tastings and 1 tour (Sterling). Tastings >>>>> Tours
Plus with tastings you don't need reservations at some places so you can always do a spur-of-the-moment trip to a vineyard you see.

I agree. And loved some of the stuff you can't find in stores, like many of the dessert wines.
It's been 10 years since I went to Carmel, Big Sur, Napa, St Helena.
Besides the wineries and restaurants, also did tapas and lunch at CIA-Greystone.
Would love to visit CIA-Hyde Park and the Hudson River area one day in NY.

Your list looks great.
Try to make it to Healdsburg if you have time, visit J Vineyards, Simi, and Rodney Strong. Eat at Oakville Grocery while in Healdsburg.
In Yountville, set up a tasting at Jessup cellers.
Other wineries to consider visiting if time permits:
Sterling
Hess
Burgess
Balducci
Silver Oak
Chandon
Mumm
Cuvaison

Redds was superb last Thanksgiving I believe in Yountville and Celadon in Napa was great as well.

I just got back last weekend. Charlied is right- we went to ReddNapa in Yountville, and I think it was the best meal I've ever had. The chicken dish was amazing. Little tip here- my cousin is a chef at La Toque, which is at the hotel we stayed at in Napa. He told us to bring a 12 pack of Sierra Nevada to the restaurant for the kitchen staff. We were hesitant, but we did it, and the kitchen hooked us up with some unreal pizza and gourmet chicken wings.
As far as wineries, you have to go to Mumm. Unbelievable setting, and something different in the sparkling wine department. If there is any way for you to get an industry tasting there, do it. It's the best one we went to. Also, Silverado was very nice and very scenic. We also had a limo and it was a great idea. Gott's Roadside is a must, and I thougt Oakville Grocery was great too. But seriously, go to Redd-unbelievable, and with drinks and being stuffed to the gills, it was $150 total for my wife and I. Have a great time.

One winery we enjoyed ws Spragia followed by Fritz but they are a ways from Napa, not far just North. Also on teh road to Pride is Kenan. Kenan and Fritz have some great whites, more dry than normal Cali whites. We shipped home a case from each.
On the road from Sonoma to Napa there is Domaine Carneros, a beautiful chateau on your right. Owned by Tattinger from France they offer GREAT tastings with some really good cheeses. Sent a case home from there as well.

I would like to suggest the wine paring and food tasting at Cakebread. Look into it. It was quite the experience and reasonably priced. It is not a whole meal only a few small apps.
On a side not DelDotto was by far my favorite tour. To taste how the barrel can make a wine taste is unbelievable. If you can still stand by the end ask to try their port.

You have a great trip lined up & probably do not have time to fit in any other stops but I would suggest Reynolds Family on the Silverado Trail. Excellent wines!
