stats suck as a primary QB evaluation tool. It is a factor in assessing a QB, but is certainly only one of several considerations.

(for comparative purposes) adding completion % and passing efficiency would have been nice, though the latter may not be readily available.

e.g., JJ completed 61% with an efficiency of 137.2 (#36 of all quarterbacks last year).

One of the QBs in the SECCG had about 30. One of the QBs in the '09 BCSCG had about 30.
Proof that all LSU's woes lay on the shoulder of the QB killing drives.

How many won MNC?
Who were they?
One had 11 interceptions?
Measure that STAT!
It is not always about stats. Herb Tyler with equal talent was as good as any and better than MOST! Where are the rush yds? How about all those times Flynn scrammbled out of a Jam.
This is a useless thread to measure QB's, but yet people on here would JUMP to a STAT!

Not really. He played with Faulk.

He didn't take a sack

All I did was compare a few LSU qb's to each other using the info that was available to me. My conclusions are:
J Lee is a better version of J Booty
Mauck was the better of the 2 championship qb's
Davey and Russell were the best qb's of the bunch
Jefferson reminds me of Tyler but better
