Every prime time baseball games involves the either the Yankees, Mets or Red Sox. Any chance we can watch a game that doesnt involve these teams.

that is all for now

You're about to watch the Detroit Tigers. What's the issue?

There is certainly an oddly high percentage of games from Fenway.

It's all about the money. The sponsors want ads during Yankee and Red Soxs games so ESPN gives them what they want. Coward says this stuff all the time. He gets paid more when he talks about the Yankees and Red Sox in Baseball and the Cowboys and Pats in football.

Bingo. If fans of other teams want to see them on TV then here's a though...support them with ticket sales. Tampa Bay has been on fire to start the season...roughly 50% capacity for home games. The ORIOLES are averaging more people per game and they're arguably the worst team in the league. That is why you won't see the Tampas, Texas, and Clevelands of the world on TV much.

frick the Yankees and there 2,500 dollar front row seats. I do agree that if you want to have a team you support them by showing up. But It wouldn't matter. The Blue Jays in the early 90's sold out the stadium every game at 50,000 a time. The Strike KILLED that. And the networks THINK everyone wants to see Boston or the Yanks or Mets.

Why wouldn't ESPN, for their nationally televised baseball games, not air more games from teams that have a national following?

Wanna watch the Royals?, thats what MLB.tv is for. Why should their miser of an owner be rewarded for consistently putting a horrible product on the field with a nationally televised game?

And again...your Tigers are on tonight. So what's the big fricking deal?

Exactly. MOST diehard baseball fans have a way to watch 'the other guys'. Extra Innings and MLB.TV are my purchases of the year, every year. I just love watching the game BUT for the average joe...they'll wanna see 5-6 teams. Both NY teams, Boston, LA, the Cubs...and maybe St Louis.
