TBH, I think its already a done deal. He's got an offer, and he's said yes with a laundry list of contingencies which get him off the hook, should the whim strike him.

What makes you think it's a done deal?

The sentence that follows the one you quoted would be my guess why he thinks its a done deal.

Yay for a coach that failed at Bayern Munich with far more talent than most of the other German sides.

Maybe we get Sven-Goran Erikson if that doesn't work out.

Jurgen is much more suited to be a national team manager. He likes being home with his family in OC instead of Germany and he's a really good motivator.

You have to realize that "done deal" has been thrown out quite a bit on TD, using that phrase immediately causes skepticism

Im just glad you didnt follow with "my sister in laws friend's cousin is dating his neighbor and they said..."

To be honest, I am not 100% sure, but I can tell you that people do mention it in European countries which are not Germany, when eating at restaurants frequented by players and agents.

In places who theoretically don't give a shite about Klinsmann,

ETA or US football

so, where there's smoke.....

I'd prefer Klinsmann over any other European manager. Klinsmann isn't nearly as rigid in his philosophy as some other managers. Another manager I wouldn't mind is Marcelo Bielsa.

i can see why people hate bob ball, but it seems to be best suited for the lack of talent on the US team (comparatively speaking)

also, i thought klinsmann was campaigning for the job a few years ago but basically had a dispute with the head of the MNT. has that been cleared up?

Manager isn't our issue. It's the current US federation (recruiting, training) that leaves something to desire. I wouldn't mind seeing us set up a joint program with Brazil and France for youth development. For a nation of 300+ million, we should go 2-deep (I know there 3 subs but you get what I'm saying) like the big dogs.

i'm sure, but i mean for now. presently we have a lot of athletes, but comparatively we don't have a lot of guys who are creative (e.g. fricking findley, who looks lost when he touches the ball). a tactical approach helps in that circumstance.

Explain please. No flame, just curious.

Also someone posted earlier that our midfield will be world class in 2 years. Is this due to Bradley's development or just because of the talent coming up?

Also, wasn't Klinsman close to becoming the coach last time around?

Not world class, simply not a liability at this level. Yeah, Bradley's development is a big, big part of it.

Klinsman's main stumbling block no longer exists (in order to impede the move).
