So with all this talk of 16 team mega conferences, I would assume they are probably need name changes. Any ideas?

Doubt it...brand names will probably remain the same. SEC will remain the SEC.
Maybe Pac I will change to like the Pacific Coast Conference or the Pacific Conference. That's about it...I really doubt the Big 10 changes...they didn't when they added Penn St (11 teams).

If it happens I don't see the SEC changing their name. You would think the Pac10 and Big10 would change their names, buy who knows? shite, like fly said, the Big10 doesn't even have 10 teams.

If the Big 10 changes I would recommend "the Heartland Conference." Ohio and Penn teams would never go for Great Lakes Conference...especially if it stretches from NJ to Nebraska

Well, if we get to 4 16-super conferences, the Big XII will be dead, so the Big 10 could become the Big 16, I mean, if they cared about the conference name matching the number of teams in the league.

I have some ideas
SEC will become "The Confederate Conference" or the "Big South"
The ACC will become "The Big East"
PAC 10 will become "The Great Western"
Big 10 will become "The Plains"
SEC will become "The Confederate Conference" or the "Big South"
