No, it's not the time, but the email just came out so here it is.

WHY IN THE HELL WOULD SOMEONE PAY TWICE AS MUCH FOR SEASON TICKETS AFTER LAST YEARS PERFORMANCE?

I think TJ will produce a quality team, but Joe Alleva and the athletic department are wrong on this.

Depends on where you sit as to how your cost fluctuates. For my tickets, they added a $100 tradition fund but they dropped the price of the tickets by $100, so for me it's still the same price.

I didn't look at every section as close as my own, but it seems at first glance if you are sitting in the upper bowl your overall ticket cost (including tradition fund) will either stay the same or drop. I'm guessing by the tone of your post that you probably sit in the lower bowl.

Nearly doubled for lower bowl and I don't feel any differently, but I would like to understand their philosophy behind this. I don't understand it after a brutal season. Do like football and WIN first, don't you think?

I'm hoping that folks will drop off, and I'll be able to improve my season tickets.

How much did LSU increase basketball tickets the season after we went to the Final Four?

I think you know what I mean fig.

1 final four this decade doesn't equal 2 BCS championships.

So how many Final Fours or SEC Championships (which LSU won two seasons ago) does it take to justify a ticket price increase in your opinion?

I'm with Trent. There is no justification to raise prices right now. They're saying it's to better the seats down low for safety reasons. I called and asked about it and they said by raising the prices it will get more people in the seats because the "tickets will be more valuable or placed at a higher premium"

Let us make 3 tourney's in a row and build some consistency before TAF takes over the PMAC and LSU Basketball.

Short sided views from LSU fans once again...it takes $ to build facilities, hire coaches, etc, etc. A basketball ticket is still one the least expensive tickets to buy, so please either pay the ticket cost and go or simply voice your opinion and watch the games on ESPN3 or listen to Hawthorne.

If $25-150 is going to damage your bank account, you probably shouldn't be going to the games in the first place.

Get over it...or keep bitching...it is not going to change things....get ready for a football ticket increase one way or another in 2011...new coach or solid season and I promise football tickets are GOING UP!

I can see that logic. It's embarrassing to have a TV game with more than half of the lower section seats empty. Make them pay more and maybe they will drop their season tickets for someone who wants to go to the games.

As much as a big crowd helps LSU with its baseball recruiting, I can imagine how unimpressed a top-tier basketball recruit must be when he makes an official visit and sees a nearly empty house even in SEC games.

Then again, maybe they'll just drop their season tickets, period.

As it stands now, it's not like people are beating down the doors of the PMAC trying to get in. It's the easiest ticket in town. Hell, I often have trouble GIVING them away.

Very true. I think the product on the floor will make your task of giving them away easier next season.

Season ticket holder for several years. LSU basketball is the only team I have a passion for. I have voiced my opinion to the ticket office, what I typed is what they told me. They still didn't justify anything. Nor did you.

its an investment.

You are paying for recruiting trips to NYC, Phila. and Chicago, where the 5 star guys play.

Cable Guy-

Nothing personal but LSU does not "OWE" you any explanation or justification of why they raise or decrease prices. The Saints don't, Bama doesn't etc. It is a business and their job is to make $...

Just can't stand all the bitching about cost of LSU athletics. Just pay the fees or stay at home...isn't that about it?

Again, nothing personal...I don't really care that I pay $100 more per year for a ticket.

If so, I won't be giving them away at all. I'll be using them (when possible).

That's solely your opinion. I'm sorry if I don't agree that a price hike was necessary after an abortion of a season and this next season isn't going to be much better.

I don't know about you, but I'd like to see progress before I pony up. Anyway, I'll get the good seats for cheap outside the pmac so I'll be happy regardless.
