I really can't see LSU "taking over" that stadium". It is still the sub-regional, and people here save up for Omaha, or the super regionals at the earliest. I'm not sure that LSU has that many alumni on the West coast. If I am wrong, I will gladly eat crow.

However, I do agree with something that I read here earlier. The UCLA 900 strong faithful don't even realize that they need to get their tickets early. They probably think they can just walk up to the regional and get tickets. LSU fans will buy tournament books, and not just single game tickets. If LSU really has a big following there, Kent State is about to have their largest cheering section for a baseball game this year.

I may have to go there Monday and Tuesday for a meeting and may just go out there Friday and go to the games. I am waiting on word from my client before I book a room or buy tickets. THey need to hurry up and give me an answer.

There are around 3000 LSU alums in the Los Angeles area. Hell, San Diego LSU Alumni had their boil this past Sunday and had over 3,000 in attendance. For football game watch parties we have had over 200 attend and that's to watch on TV. There are other bars in the L.A. area that also cater to large LSU crowds for games.

Now that's the kind of info I was looking for. West Coast Tigers

I said yesterday - when LSU travels west, the LSU faithful that live out here are like starving Ethiopian children being led into Lawry's Prime Rib.

That will be awesome. Not to mention, LSU fans actually cheer at baseball games. The UCLA crowd likes to read newspapers at games. UCLA will be outnumbered at their own stadium. Don't forget to wear purple so that your gold won't be confused with the Bruin gold.

They didn't. From what I've heard here is that is was mostly LSU fans buying up the tickets today.

Northern California has over 1,700 alums, and this alum will be going to SoCal for the regional. Hell, might stay down there for the Super if we get out of the regional.

Sadly Olga Mural Field at Schoonover hold just as many people as UCLA's stadium does.

Way to represent West Coast!!! We kind of have our own "Wash St flag on Gameday" effort. Of course, instead of asking for one guy to help, we ask for 1000s of fans to help, and they step up.

But have they packed it out for a game this year?

The redshirt junior hurled just 97 pitches in a complete game five-hitter to lift the Flashes past Bowling Green, 9-1, Saturday at Schoonover Stadium in front of 1,162 fans to give KSU (31-21, 15-8) a one-game lead over the Falcons (24-20-1, 14-8) in the Mid-American Conference East Division.

I would almost guess thier attendance this year would be higher than UCLA given those numbers and that UCLA only had crowds of like 900 at most games.

This is one of the main reasons I decided not to go to the regional. I decided I was being greedy/selfish if I took tickets away from a Tiger fan out there when I have season tickets at The Box.

I already had my air and hotel reservations but when I saw the left coast Tigers jumping on the tickets, I canceled.

LAT, I was practically on the plane!

I had the Ticketmaster tickets reserved for 10 minutes and all I had to do was click on "Add to Cart."

I had already decided to look you up at the stadium at the first game.

We'll just have to meet up in Omaha!
