Sounds good to me. He's saying and doing the right things, if we get a solid season from him this year, it could be a special season.

Great article.
Average fan doesn't realize the time and effort they go through.

I always felt that the kid had all the tools. I hope he gets the coaching he needs and puts it all together this year.

if we find an o line, we run the ball. if we run the ball, i have no worry about jj. im waiting with cautious optimism for the opener.

1. IMO JJ doesnt seem to have the instinct to run for the chains, and get out of bounds, like for example M Flynn. You cant coach that. It was all happening too fast for him. Because spring practice didnt allow hitting, we dont know yet, what he will do when a play breaks down.

2. Dandy Don said about JJ at the time he signed in high school, that he was a couple of years away and we should expect to see him on the field when he's a junior, which is now. JJ is ahead of where he would have been if RP was on the team the past two years.

Coaches need to be working on his accuracy every practice. Too often last season he hit receivers in a spot that killed their momentum and hurt their chances of making a play after the catch.

I like Jefferson.

alright, which one of you clowns is John Mulliniks:

{ L[KE JJ, BUT I BELIEVE THAT "SHEAP" IS THE BEST QB, AND BELIEVE THAT LES OR WHO EVER IS NAMING THE QB IS WRONG. WE SAT THE BEST FOOTBALL PLAYER IN THE NATION ON THE BENCH ALL LAST YEAR...THE COACH NEEDS TO STOP THE MISTAKES AND GET IT RIGHT!!! I AM TIRED OF COACHES LOSING EOOTBALL GAMES THE WAY THIS STAFF HAS BEEN DOING...THEY ARE OVER PAID AND SHOULD BE OUT COACHING ALABAMA, FLORIDA, OLE MISS, ARKANSAS, AND THE REST, LES SHOULD GIVE BACK A LEAST THREE OF THE FOUR MILLION, BECAUSE HE IS NOT WORTH WHAT HE IS BEING PAID!!! FOR THAT MATTER, NEITHER ARE ANY OF THE OTHER HEAD COACHES IN THE SEC! IT IS TIME TO CUT THE PRICE OF TICKETS AND GIVE THE PEOPLE WHO PAY THE BILLS A BREAK!!! MARANATHA!!!

that was last year... its really not that bad when you think about it... he protected the football, sometimes a little to much than i would like but if you give this team a rushing attack... that really isnt bad at all.. we didnt have a rushing game so every defense knew we had to throw the ball.

I hope so too but I just dont see it. Leaders are born, not made. I feel if he had it, we would have seen more than just a few flashes of it in the past two years. He is what I feel is our best option at the time, so maybe with a revamped o-line with a combination of a good running game, maybe he wont be running for his life every play and can settle in to be a decent QB

mybe e comes of age this year. i remember driving from atlanta in 2002 for the miss. st game. i left that stadium saying that there was no way we win a championship with matt mauck as a starter. he was putrid in that game. i thought his 2001 relief appearance against tn in the dome was an aberration. he certainly matured. i do like that jordan doesnt force mistakes. i would, however, take a couple more int's as a trade off to see him take more chances and trust his arm.
