Rajon Rondo reminds you of what former NBA player?

For me, it's Isiah Thomas.

John Stockton. He runs the court all game and doesn't break a sweat.

A young Gary Payton.

Gary Payton might have been the best defensive pg ever in his prime. I don't know that Rondo will be able to get there.

Yeah that's why I said a young Gary Payton. Rondo was the 2nd highest vote getter for the All-Defensive team this year. Like young Payton, his outside shot isn't great but he's a lock-down defender and an elite passer. They really are pretty similar. Payton developed an outside shot later in his career, we'll see if Rondo can do the same thing.

Good comparison.

Plus better defense minus an outside shot. Other than that he's basically a Nash clone.

I like the Kevin Johnson comparison, but I think Payton is probably even better. I still think Isiah is another good one.
