Anniversary this weekend, looking for a nice place to go to dinner in NOLA, we are staying downtown, and looking in that area.

Thanks

You can do in many different directions as there are tons of choices. Tell the folks here what you are looking for. Do you want the best restaurant in the city at any cost?

I will just throw out The Pelican Club or Irene's.

We enjoyed Le Foret and it would be a nice place for an anniversary dinner.

Are you looking for atmosphere over anything else?

Food you've never tried before?

Some people just want a tried and true steak on a special occasion.

From what I have read from people I trust, this is probably the best answer. It would be especially good if they still have the really good deal on the tasting menu right now.

I did this for my last anniversary at MiLa, and I think it's the most fun way to do things, when it isn't absurdly priced.
