CoD Camping?

What constitutes camping?
I'm playing free-for-all and using the strategy of planting claymores and covering a portion of the map. After 4 wins in a row, this strategy gets getting me called a camper.
Do I need to spawn and immediately sprint into face-to-face shoot outs? Will winning the match with a score of 45-44 make a better player?
I need the gaming board's help, or this kid screaming at me on XBL might come hurt me...

Camping=using any weapon other than a sniper rifle not moving staring at one fixed position.

Everyone camps to some degree unless they are running around tac knifing
True camping is someone sitting a dark corner with a shotgun pointed at a entrance just waiting for a long time hoping someone comes by.

I consider it camping if a sniper stays in a fixed position. I know its a long range weapon but that doesn't prevent them from moving around instead of hanging out in 1 spot hoping someone comes into view. With that said when I snipe I try to move around simply because if you snipe too much from 1 position you'll be targeted and get killed anyway.
I also don't consider it camping if its domination or search and destroy and your simply defending a target.

Nothing wrong with camping.

If u are sighted in on a door or corner for a couple of minutes.
I will camp a spot for about 3 kills , then it's time to move.
No camping in domination unless you r camping doorways for kills, not protecting flags.

I only camp when I am 1 or 2 kills away from a CG or AC130.

This. If I've got a harrier in the air on the way to an AC-130 or CG, You can bet your arse you won't see me in any wide open spaces.

And the other guy is called "fragged", "dead" and/or "loser". Make him take your spot away from you.

I camp like a MOFO. I dont sit in a doorway and wait for someone to walk by, but I'll stay in a certain area in a map and run and gun in that area only.
On Derail however, I will get in the second story of the center building and hold that down for as long as possible.
What pisses me off, is when someone calls you a camper and they're trying to camp in the same area you are. I dont have a problem with people who are like me, but I do not like those who sit in dark corners for the entire game. If you call me a camper and keep going to where you know I'll be waiting, what does that say about you? Thats what I ask to those who I kill 5+ times in a match.
I also ask, do the US armed forces win battles and wars by running around all willy nilly? No. They win by using strategy (and superior weapons and training).

If I get pissed at a guy holding a spot, I will try and find any alternate means of entry.
If he can hold the spot and fend off my efforts to remove him then it's my own damn fault.
If someone is being a bitch and camping a doorway, I do my best to avoid said doorway or adopt a strategy of throwing nades or flashbangs around corners.
Just have fun and frick the haters. In my experience, most of the people you encounter online are completely immature fricksticks.

I play demolition a lot. It's funny when your defending the bomb sites, the other team loses and starts complaining about you camping around the bomb sites.
What am I supposed to do? Run around to other side of the map while you run towards the bomb site?

I will run around and get 7 kills in a row for my harriers. then I find the best hiding spot and stay there. I let the harriers get me my CG and from there, well...you know.

Thats the proper wat to play FFA, unless everyone is camping hard then you may have to go out and find people.

That's my thoughts, but apparently you're more of a man if you run out into the open like a psycho and get shot in the back of the head.

Tubing is the worst thing in MW2. I don't remember it being this bad with COD4. People are going to camp to an extent. Snipers do nothing but camp. Nobody bugs them. frick it.
