I'm looking to buy a new hdtv, 32" or smaller. I move around a lot for my job, so I have just been buying a cheap used tv so that if I have to leave on a couple days notice, I can just throw it away or whatever and not be out much money. Now I've decided to get another one just so I can see who the frick keeps killing me on BBC2.

I still want to go cheap as possible since it's just for a video game and I'm going to have to ship it all over the country most likely.

I've read that ps3 only displays in 720p and 60 hertz, but all of the posts I've read are from a few years ago, so I'm wondering if anything has changed, and I really don't know much about HDTVs.
What are the specs that I should look for? Does the contrast ratio matter much for playing games, or any other specs? I'm not concerned about Blue Ray or tv programing, just the games.

Actually neither the 360 or PS3 is 'true' 1080p.

I stand corrected. I thought that all the games were 720p and were up-converted, which some are. Actually found a list of native and up-scaled 1080p games.

Not sure how up to date it is
