They gave me 100 free trades this year.

Saves me at least $500.

Are you attempting to communicate that you have > $5M in Vanguard assets as they kept telling me that was the level required for 100 free trades and it was pissing me off given the assets I have with them. I was about to move all my holdings to WellsTrade due to the BS commission costs compared to the industry in general.

C'mon now, I wasn't trying to be snarky or anything, I legitimately was PO'd with VBS and their antiquated structure and was told that was the magic number. Just b/c you did business with a firm for 10+ years doesn't mean you stay with them when they are being stupid. If I called them and was going to move my account from Wells they would probably say, "hey, how about some free trades", MFers.

VBS still isn't for traders, the interface sucks and is bare bones. Then again, I am not a trader.

Their interface is terrible. they HATE trading and god forbid you try to use their options program. However, they are investor owned and have low expense ratios. About as secure as you can hope for in the industry.

I went and checked and the option commission is still 30 bucks plus $1.50 a contract. Kinda hard to sell covered calls and enter positions via selling puts at that rate. I just moved some of my IRA to USAA and I think I'll stay for now.
