doesn't seem as drenched in oil, crispier outside, and better tasting all together.. not to mention, zaxby's isn't charging $10 a box..

Thoughts?

What Cane's do you go to? A box is like $7.50.

Is anyone actually going to say where this place is?

It's a chicken finger place that I've seen mostly in other college towns. None in BR. Never eaten there though.

Not a college town place. Started in Athens though I think. All over Atlanta and growing in the southeast.

I think it is superior to Canes partly because their menu is so much bigger.

In addition to chicken fingers they have 5 or 6 kinds of wings. Salads done various ways. Great Texas Toast. Sandwiches.

I've eaten at a couple in Northern Mississississippi. They are not as good as Cane's. Their chicken teastes more like McDonald's strips or Popeye's strips. And their prices are not that much cheaper than Cane's. This guy has clearly never been to a Cane's if he thinks a box costs $10.

That is fine if you like them. I don't think they are bad, but they defitly taste more like a fast food chain chicken strip. Cane's are different. I like Cane's more.

I live in Birmingham. Zaxbys is pretty good. WAY bigger menu and salads are awesome. It is a little pricey but hey who isn't these days. IF you come to Bham try Zaxby's over Guthrie's... Guthrie's is VERY salty and small tenders.

I haven't been to a Zaxby's in a while but A) Canes and Zaxby's are both knock offs of Guthries, including the sauce. B) Their chicken fingers are all about = if they're fresh.

I've found the quality less consistent at Zaxby's than Canes. Canes seems to be following the Chick Fil A HR practices with shiny happy teenagers and the Zaxby's I've been to seem to have a more standard fast food employee mix. Zaxbys does have the expanded menu going for it though, if they had more consistent quality it'd be easy to give them the nod.

I don't, either. We have threads where posters rave about an item at BK, Whataburger, or Jackinthebox, but Cane's (actual chicken) gets hated on. I don't understand it.

For me Canes is good, but boring.

I go there and look at the menu and think, hmmm, I could have chicken fingers or maybe chicken fingers. Or perhaps chicken fingers.

Not even a spicy variety. It is very bland, and
unless the sauce floats your boat, there is nothing to jazz it up.

I admit my bias is that I think chicken fingers are for kids and women.

This is my problem with Canes. You have to drench the chicken in the peppered mayo to get any taste. I also don't care for the fries.
