Watching this video again, I didn't remember Shep breaking so many tackles or carrying guys for yardage after contact. Guess I forgot or didn't notice - he keeps his legs churning, and consistently gets yardage after being hit.

On the last play he carries a Bama player for another 4 or 5 yards after what looks like a very solid hit at the sideline. I'm sure this video has been posted here several times, but it's worth another look if you haven't seen it recently.

I've actually never seen that video before. good find. There is absolutely no reason he shouldn't touch the ball at least once every possession. He's so good. Jefferson in that video... not so much

I can't wait for him to be unleashed this year. Hopefully he gets more snaps to have those big play opportunities.

He is great no doubt. But in the entire video there were 3, maybe 4 broken tackles and one carrying someone for 3 yards. He just makes people miss. Great athlete.

Somebody please tell me we will be "shock and awe" with both Ford and Shep! I hope passing will be an afterthought! How about.... Thunder and Lightning!

I think we all hope that Shep gets the ball more - especially in big games - than he did last year. He's got legit highlights from last year but pretty much every Tiger fan would have liked to see a lot more from him this year.

It's going to be very interesting to see what Bill Gonzalez has up his sleeve for getting Shep more into the gameplan this year.

I remember hearing that Auburn run for a TD on Sirius radio. The Sirius announcer got all excited (not JH)and stated "Just pure, unadulterated, LSU speed!" They kept playing it the next week as a commercial.

The reason I really am a Miles' basher is because he was too fricking stupid to give RS the ball 20 times a game at least.

What kind of a fricking moron keeps the ball away from talent like that? He was better than Scott, Williams, and Murphy and there is NO doubt.

Miles and Crowton are a joke for not getting the ball to RS more than any other player on the team.

Open field, in traffic, etc he gets positive yardage on every play, even on that dreaded short side option they ran!

most of his broken tackles are largely bc of his speed and athleticism..He does lower his shoulder when he has to though and i like it.

Yeah he is...but that's fine. He's not the biggest guy, so I have no problem with him not trying to run over people. That's just asking for injuries. Just keep making people miss and avoid the big hits.

Shep may be the most purely talented athlete LSU football has had in a decade which is why, not only LSU fans but non LSU fans are wondering why the hell he was on the bench for most of last season
