"Recon" is the 8th episode of Season 6 of Lost and the 111th produced hour of the series as a whole. It is scheduled to be broadcast on March 16, 2010.

Sawyer returns after a 3 episode hiatus

quote:

On next week's new episode of Lost, we get a look at Sawyer in his sideways 2004 world. Will this timeline be kind to the con man, as it seemingly has been to Jack and Locke? Or, similar to Sayid, will Sawyer be unable to deny his darker side, no matter which universe he resides in?

I thought this pic was funny so I threw it in...

Notice Locke is sitting in Jesus' position, and Kate is sitting in Judas' position. Sawyer is in John's position and Jack is in Thomas' position. I'm sure it doesn't mean a thing though....

ETA: Everyone is looking at Locke except for Sawyer, he's looking at Jack.

I knew this was coming... you just wanted to start a 50 page thread

ETA: I thought the thread wasn't going to be started until the episode starts tomorrow

From the small spoilers I've read, sideways world Sawyer should be entertaining.

I was about to start this myself. Last week will be a tough act to follow, but I'm looking forward to seeing Sawyer's sideways story. More importantly, where the hell has he been on the island the last few weeks? Not like Sawyer to miss out on a good fight.

I was wondering the same. It was odd that he wasn't with the group after the temple was destroyed. I don't know how he would have been able to leave the cave with the ladders to get down there being broken. Something tells me though we won't be seeing him in the cave again anyway. Maybe he's already at the Hydra station?

Before seeing this thread, I went to ABC.com and accidentally clicked the listing for Fast Forward instead of Lost. The synopsis said it was a recap show of the first several episodes of the season. I nearly lost it.

That would be funny as hell if MIB just left him in the cave without a ladder. If it shows the group stop by the cliff on their way to the other island and drop a ladder down, I'll .

Some people will shite themselves if you don't correctly format the title of this thread...

They usually use the "Recon S6.E8 (Sawyer centric)" format I think.

Yeah, I thought the Lost part of the title was a given.

Enough about the thread title, let's get to the show title.

Do you guys think MIB sends Sawyer to the beach on a recon mission, or is Sawyer already on his own recon mission of MIB?

I think its both.

And, the show's title is a play on Sawyer and his Flash-Sideways: "Re - Con"

I'd like to believe that Sawyer is still only looking out for numero uno and he will not blindly follow MIB's directions. I also hope that his self interest caves in to a desire to help the other Losties. Sawyer is still in need of redemption and I think he does it by a selfless act to help his friends, even if it means he has to die or be prevented from ever leaving the island.

Did you not see him jump out of that helicopter? I would have thrown Hurley's fat arse out, and they could have flown all the way home.

Hurley can't swim without a guitar case though.

That's why Sawyer's act was so selfless. I wouldn't have cared. Self preservation.

LOL, could be but I was thinking Sawyer was probably with the convalescing Jin at Claire's hut although granted we never saw Sawyer again after the meeting with Flocke in the cave.
