Anyone know anything about the University Club Golf Course....

I ran a Cross Country race there in 1973 against texas A and M. 100 degrees 4 miles no trees

My only NCAA meet. and my mother threw out the shirt becasue it ripped!!!

I worked there for about 6 months. It's a good course and it seems they are always rennovating something there. A few years ago they did alot of work on the actual course and doubt they would make another investment in such a short period.

I would think that they are rennovating the club house b/c the looker rooms were very small and members couldn't store their clubs there or really feel at home with such a small club house.

Ok..well I just went to the website and I am wrong; they are redoing the entire course and sounds like they are making big time changes.

yea, they are moving alot of tee boxes, adding "local landscaping", etc... should be quite nice when it is all said and done

it shut down in September for 10 months (or so they say). they're making the course longer and tighter, as it's one of the easiest to play on the college circuit. should be one of the regions premier courses when it's finished

taf is redoing the course to be able to attract major college tournaments. they are also redoimg the locker room for the men and womens golf teams to use. this info is on taf's website

All 18 holes are closed now. Originally scheduled to re-open in September, however, the weather has pushed them back a couple of months.
