TigerRag has him at starting corner w/ PP. Do you think he's ready to step up and fill Chris Hawkins shoes? I know Hawkins wasn't perfect, but overall he was a pretty good corner. I was thinking Eugene or maybe even Hatcher would start at the other corner.

We will see. Seems like a kid with pretty decent abilities and a great work ethic, and a desire to succeed. I think he will do great.

This is a typo right?

dude can't play deep coverage as a safety, no way he's gonna lock on in man to man.

Surprises:

C - P.J. Lonergan (So.)
T-Bob Hebert (Jr.)

Lonergan with the early nod. Also Williford projected on the two deep at both guard spots.

DE - Lavar Edwards (So.)
Chancey Aghayere (So.)
Ken Adams (Jr.)
Sam Montgomery (Fr.)
Barkevious Mingo (Fr.)

Mingo is on this list, but Benny Logan is not.

Drayton Calhoun to CB. I guess Miles feels confident with the 2010 RB haul.

Jai Eugene to S. He can't seem to find a spot, and he was a top 20 prospect I think.

i do feel good about claiborne though. seems like he could be a good corner a la chevis, not necessarily comparing their skills but in terms of longevity and productivity as a corner.

I was one of those who bitched about Claiborne when he committed....until I saw his film....

He has skillz. Not overly impressive measureables but has great hip rotation and quickness. He just has "it."

A) considering Hawkins had great measureables at the combine, he was shitty here. He made very few plays and got burned often and was a pussy in run support and B) Have you watched LSU football? You really think Hatcher is a CB or has a CB body?

claiborne gives us a 6'1 starting corner who is extremely athletic. the other day, patrick peterson was gushing about him in an interview, saying "he's great in press coverage, can run with any receiver and has world class speed". i saw him last summer work out and had no idea he was that athletic. he's going to be really good if he keeps his head on straight.

Logan is a DT. And he's currently in the two deep while Downs is out.

Also, Hurst is play RT and Blackwell is playing RG for now.

Was he always there? For some reason I thought he played DE in high school?
