May not matter because he really likes Bama, though they have not given him a written offer yet.

"I have always hoped for that Bama offer," Gibson continued. "If it is meant to be then it will happen. I have always liked how Alabama used their running backs in their system and have been following them a lot more ever since Coach Saban took over as head coach."

Per Scout, he's a 3 star with offers from LSU, Memphis, and Kentucky. Maybe less is playing tug-of-war with Larry Porter.

LSU has to be offering this kid at a different position than RB. No way we take 4 RB's this year, with the class they had last year and limited number of scholly's this year.

Just watched his film and yeah, he'll be a FB...doesn't have the speed to play RB in the SEC. Tough runner though.
but honestly, I don't know why we'd offer a FB in a year with limited schollies...especially since we have Worle and Allen.

it says he was be recruited to LSU by Porter previously and Wilson has kept with the recruitment. He doesnt mention Memphis much, he sounds really excited with the LSU offer.

If he accepts LSU's offer, then LSU will have the best collection of FB's in the nation.

If I’m not mistaken people thought Allen would get on campus and be the new "badass" at the FB position. He still could be it just takes time. Can't knock the coaches for continually trying to better the team.

6'1" 210 lbs is pretty big. I'm thinking Les is trying to make some new version of the flying wedge/Wing T/Wishbone with Ridley, Allen, Ware and Gibson.
I'd guarantee that our WR would have one on one coverage with no safety help because the D would have three DT, three DE and four LBers.

I really don't understand this offer either. That being said I trust our coaches as far as recruiting goes and if they think the kid deserves an offer then he must be on the rise.
FWIW.....most on here questioned the ware offer last year as well. Not saying its the same situation, just that these coaches can spot talent.
