i just finished it on netflix.. the writing/plot lines in this are pretty damn good, imo.. twist and turns everywhere..

Yeah, my draw dropped at the end of this episode. But it seems like they are throwing everything at you in the first season, can't really tell where they are gonna take it.

Thought it was good one. Got deeper into the story line and was less focused on the gladiatorial games.

The show has actually been enjoyable the past two episodes without relying solely on blood and tits for it to be watchable.

I have noticed this as well. The character development has been much better the last few episodes. The blood and tits are nice bonus but now the show is watchable without. The orgy scene was pretty good though

The trainer dude is one badass mofo. I hope they explore his character a bit more.
Yeah spartacus is awesome and all but he's getting credit for killing the viking when he had help. The trainer dude stood toe to toe with the viking dude and lived to tell about it.

ETA - possible SPOILER if you haven't watched 2/26 episode yet
I wonder if the trainer is going to let Spartacus slide on the drugging? I would think that he'd have hell to pay for that since obviously the trainer knew what was up when he came out @ the end.

Thank GOD. Male full frontal from time to time is bad enough without the man boy love. As someone else mentioned I think Spartacus is about to get his arse beat by the trainer.

i think the first episode turned alot of people off but i stuck with it and think this show is really bad arse

Yes I think he will. The only reason he drank the wine was to celebrate Spartacus's wife coming. Now that she is gone and his own true love is dead I think he will give Spartacus a pass.

Can't wait for the next episode. Looks like Spartacus is gonna be pretty pissed and draw a whole lot of blood. I definately think they will explore the trainer's character a little more.
