NBC Curling announcers pronouce Hebert as Hee bertt

Last night during the US Canada Curling match, NBC announcers pronounced the name of one of the Canadian curlers (Hebert), not as Ay Ber but as Heebert.
This is an affront to every red blooded Louisiane.

I have heard some peolple with the last name Hebert pronounce it Hee-Bert. Perhaps that was the case with curler in question?
